My name is Anne and I am delighted you are planning your visit to Belfast as we have so much to see and do.  Please contact me to tailor your visit to include a walking tour in Belfast - you can join me to walk the sights in Belfast City Centre, Ulster Museum, the Titanic Quarter or join me in Stormont Estate the home to our locally elected NI Assembly.

Specialities

Qualified Green Badge Guide

I am a retired lawyer born and bred in Belfast and have practised in a city centre law firm for the last 30 years - I have recently completed the NI Tourist Guide Association Green Badge course and am enthusiastic to show you my home city.

Victorian Belfast

Belfast is a product of our Victorian heritage and Queen Victoria even visited our city during her reign.  I can show you the sights she would have seen and the memorials erected in her and Prince Albert's memory.

Ulster Museum

The Ulster Museum houses a wonderful collection of Ulster history including the Clonmore Shrine which is older than the Book of Kells and is a must see.  You can also see treasure from the Spanish Armada and the throne of Clan O'Neills from Castle Reagh.

There is nowhere to go but everywhere (Jack Kerouac)

Outdoors walking tours of Belfast

All my walks are conducted outdoors - except for the Ulster Museum which is obviously an indoor event. As Belfast is a green city with open spaces, public art and great architecture it is a perfect way to experience Belfast on foot and perhaps to pick up a coffee on the way.

Perfect for groups and independent travellers

I love to meet people both local and from farther away and my walks are designed for small groups of up to six people so we can enjoy ourselves and have a conversation!  I grew up in Belfast and can give you my take on being brought up during the period of the Troubles in Belfast.

Informative and enjoyable

My walking tours are factual but also entertaining and no doubt you will leave with thoughts and information you did not know before!   I too suffer from Museum fatigue and so we will keep moving on to the next interesting place and I promise you will not be bored!

Suggestions for other sights to see

I can share with you my tips for making your visit to Belfast more enjoyable with suggestions of where to buy local produce and crafts and where to eat and drink.
