Belfast City Centre -The history of my city during its troubled past

The Belfast City Centre walking tour starts at a time to suit you leaving from the front gates of Belfast City Hall.   We can visit the Sir Edward Harland statue and the Titanic Belfast Memorial Garden and I will explain the fascinating history behind each exhibit.  If City Hall is open we can go in and see the marble interior and the  Famine Window and you will hear about the period of time when so many emigrated from this island to the US and Canada.  We can then take the local transport up to the Peace Wall dividing the Nationalist and Loyalist communities in Belfast.  We will walk along the Falls Road and see the Bobby Sands mural and the solidarity wall and pass through the security gates to the Loyalist side and see the murals there.   Walking downhill to the city centre we will pass by Kelly's Cellar pub,  First Rosemary Street Presbyterian Church, walk down The Entries where you will find the oldest surviving parts of Belfast.  We will finish our walk in Hill Street outside the Duke of York pub.  This is a part of Belfast the Black Cab tour and the open top bus simply cannot get you to and a walking tour is the way to see these sights.  The walk is approx two miles and takes 2.5 hours.   Please email me for cost and availability.
